Daily life is my muse. Beauty comes from decaying walls, people, cars, nature, strip malls and endless ads. In such a bleak world, sunlight overcomes negativity. Growing up in So. California during the 70s & 80's, I capture a simpler time to balance the complexities of 21st century. With a pallet knife, I create distressed surfaces as a foundation for my subjects. Painting images of human contact with objects, I explore these interactions. Ice cream cones and skateboards can represent answers to the human dilemma.
